Sleepless night, headache.

Well, I didn't have a nightmare last night. But that's only because I was awake tossing and turning the whole night long. I'm starting to get a headache now. Probably because I didn't get hardly any sleep. I think I'll take some sleep meds tonight and see if that helps.

As for the rest of today, it's been rather uneventful. I don't really have anything to write (type?) about. Dog's still barking. Tracy's still freaking. Night animals are still quiet.

DOG and a dog.

I had another nightmare last night. Well, actually, I think it was the same one. Only I can remember it a little more clearly now. I think I was in the woods. Still don't know what I was running away from, though. But the dream didn't wake me up early this time, which is good. I like getting in all nine hours of my sleep, thank you very much.

Anyways, today was a nice day. My friend DOG (again, not revealing any real names here) took me to go eat pizza and we were able to catch up. I haven't seen him since the big move a few weeks ago. It was nice being able to talk to him in person again. I need to arrange to meet with MOUSE again next. Maybe next weekend I can go over to her place, or see if she wants to come over here.

Oh yeah, I found out something new today. Apparently, our next-door neighbors - the couple closest to us - have a dog. Beagle, I think. This evening when I got home he was barking like crazy. I thought that maybe they'd just gotten the dog, but my dad who works with the husband says they've had that dog for quite a few years. He's usually pretty quiet, too, they say. You know, my cat Tracy has been acting kind of weird this evening, too. He's all jumpy and hiding under my bed. He's normally such a mellow cat. I hope nothing's wrong with him.

A nightmare, a sunrise, and a...Fringe Event?

So, I've had a relatively O-K day today. My morning could've been better, though. I woke up earlier than desired this morning. I had a nightmare - which is weird, because I never dream. I can't really remember what happened in it, other than it was really really dark, and I was running away from something. Still kinda gives me the chills. On the bright side, I was able to see the sunrise. It was really pretty. The sky was all yellow and pink.

Later, I went to town with my mom. We hit some old second hand shops and I picked up a nice hat at one of them. On the way back home, we saw - well, I saw, my mom was busy driving - some weird guy in a suit standing in a clearing pretty close to where our house is. My mom and I joked it was one of the Observers from the Fringe show. Heh, next thing you know a portal to another universe is going to open up around here.

Oh, and last night was yet another silent one. No bugs or birds. I think I'm just gonna skip out on sitting outside until this silence is over with. It's really unnerving to sit out there with no sound at all.

Introduction

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and tell you that this will probably be one of the most un-bloggy blogs you've probably ever read. I'm kind of a noob to this whole internet thing. My mother convinced me to do this just so I'd have something to do, or maybe motivate me to do other things. So, forgive me if this isn't really what you'd expect from a blog, or whatever.

I guess I should introduce myself? My name's KITTEN. Well, it's not my real name, obviously. I just don't feel comfortable putting my real name on the internet, call me paranoid if you want. My family and I recently moved out of the big main town of ours to a quieter area. The house is kind of old and there aren't many other houses in close proximity. It's nice and all, but now the main town isn't within walking distance, so if I want to go somewhere, I have to get my mom or dad - who are often busy - to drive me. And because of that, there's even less to do than before we moved. Well, I could always learn to ride a bike...

But I guess it's not SO bad out here. I never really realized how peaceful and calming the night was. At night before I get ready for bed, I like to sit out on the back porch and listen to all the crickets and night birds. There are some woods literally right at our back door. It's really nice. It reminds me of when I'd spend the weekend at my grandma's house. I'd go to sleep to the sounds of crickets chirping, night birds calling, and the occasional lonely car rolling down the road. Listening to the night animals here has just been a blast of nostalgia. Though, something weird has been happening the past few days. I don't hear any animals when I go out at night. No crickets, no birds, no nothing. The dead silence is kind of eerie. Maybe it's just the time of the year?

Oh well, I guess that's it for this entry. I'll try to update this thing daily - or at least, on days that something interesting actually happens.
